About
Shanna Holcomb, MD is a Greene County native. She graduated top of her class with a BS in Chemistry from GC&SU. She then received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She continued her education by completing a residency in obstetrics/gynecology at University of South Carolina. During this time she served as chief resident and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society.
After finishing residency, Dr. Holcomb became Board Certified and has maintained this certification throughout her career. She practiced ob/gyn for 4 years in Milledgeville before deciding to concentrate all her time to gynecology. She became a NAMS certified menopause practitioner and ISSWSH trained provider. She opened her own practice in 2023 and continues to offer gynecological care. In addition to this, Dr. Holcomb has expanded her practice to treat men and women for hormone optimization and sexual health management.
Dr. Holcomb is an exceptional physician that is described by her patients as caring, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She truly loves medicine and enjoys helping patients live their best and healthiest life. She now offers patients hormone replacement, anti-aging therapies, and sexual health management. These are all individualized for the needs of the patient.
Dr. Holcomb has been practicing Ob/Gyn since 2010. In 2014, she received the opportunity to focus on gynecology. Since then, her passion has been treating perimenopause/menopause patients and sexual health along with vaginal/vulvar disorders. She is a NAMS certified menopause practitioner and also ISSWSH trained. This training and experience has allowed her to better understand and care for her patients. She strive’s to offer excellent patient care and continue to stay up to date on guidelines to continue offering this same level of care.
